A Cabinet Dyeing Machine is used to dye yarn in hank form. The hanks hang on carriers inside a tank, and dye liquor flows through them, so the yarn gets coloured evenly without much stress on the fibre.
It is best for bulky, woollen and acrylic yarns, which need gentle handling. It also works for cotton and other hank yarns that are dyed at normal temperature.
The yarn stays loose on the carriers and is not pressed tight like in a package, so it keeps its softness and bulk even after dyeing.
It works at atmospheric temperature, up to about 98°C. For high temperature dyeing of polyester, an HTHP yarn dyeing machine is a better choice.
A bi-direction pump with inverter drive moves the liquor through the yarn in both directions for an even shade. Heating is done with direct steam or a heat exchanger, and water is used for cooling.
The dyeing tank, carriers and liquor contact parts are made of AISI SS 304 / 316L stainless steel, which resists corrosion and dyes, and gives long service life.
The machine has protection for over-temperature, low liquor level and pump faults, along with multiple safety interlocks, so operation stays safe and the yarn stays protected.
