A Yarn Conditioning Machine sets the twist of yarn and balances its moisture using vacuum and steam. It makes the yarn stable and easy to handle in winding, knitting and weaving.
Yarn is placed in a closed chamber, air is removed by a vacuum pump, and saturated steam is then passed through the yarn. A final vacuum removes extra moisture, so every cone or hank gets treated evenly from inside to outside.
It reduces snarling, twist liveliness and uneven moisture. This means fewer yarn breaks, smoother running on machines and better quality of the final fabric.
Cotton, wool, polyester, viscose and blended yarns can all be conditioned. It is especially useful for high twist yarns such as crepe yarn.
Cones, hanks and other yarn packages can be loaded on trolleys that roll into the chamber on rails, which makes loading and unloading quick and easy.
The chamber and steam contact parts are made of AISI SS 316L stainless steel for long life and corrosion resistance. A PLC with touch interface controls vacuum, steam and temperature, and stores recipes for different yarn types.
Yes. Multiple safety interlocks protect the operator and the machine, and automatic condensate drain with an inverter-driven vacuum pump helps save steam and power.
